ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. NUR FAEZA ABU KASSIM CONFERRED THE PINGAT KELAKUAN TERPUJI (P.K.T.) BY THE STATE OF PENANG

PENANG, 11 July 2026 – The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), congratulates Associate Professor Dr. Nur Faeza Abu Kassim on being conferred the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (P.K.T.) at the 2026 Investiture Ceremony for State Honours, Stars and Medals of Penang (Darjah Kebesaran, Bintang dan Pingat Kehormatan Negeri Pulau Pinang – DKBP).

The award was presented by Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang in conjunction with the 85th Birthday Celebration of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang, held on 11 July 2026.

The Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (P.K.T.) is one of the state honours awarded to individuals in recognition of their dedication and service. The conferment acknowledges Associate Professor Dr. Nur Faeza's contributions to higher education through her work in teaching, research, academic leadership and professional service.

Over the years, Associate Professor Dr. Nur Faeza has been actively involved in academic and research activities while contributing to the University's initiatives in education, scientific advancement and community engagement. Her work reflects the role of the University in advancing knowledge and supporting the development of society through education and research.

The recognition also highlights the commitment of the School of Biological Sciences to fostering academic excellence and supporting staff whose achievements contribute to the University's reputation at both the state and national levels.

The School of Biological Sciences extends its sincere congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Nur Faeza Abu Kassim on receiving this honour and wishes her continued success in her academic and professional endeavours.
