Research background
My research focuses on sustainable aquaculture, particularly in developing innovative feed strategies and farming systems that enhance growth performance, feed efficiency, and environmental sustainability. I have conducted studies on functional feed additives, including the use of botanical extracts such as papaya leaves, to improve fish health and product quality in hybrid catfish farming. My work also extends to life cycle assessment (LCA) of aquaculture practices, covering nutrient management, water quality, and carbon footprint. In addition, I am involved in community engagement and knowledge transfer initiatives to empower small-scale farmers and support climate-smart, responsible aquaculture development.
