Research background

Dr. Noor Adelyna Mohammed Akib is a senior lecturer at the School of Biological Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research focuses on population genetics, molecular ecology, and the use of molecular markers, such as mitochondrial DNA and nuclear markers, to study fish distribution and biodiversity in tropical ecosystems. She has led and collaborated on numerous national and international research projects, supporting sustainable fisheries management and conservation efforts. With over a decade of academic and research experience, Dr. Adelyna is passionate about applying molecular techniques to enhance biodiversity understanding and actively supervises postgraduate students in related fields.

Research focus
