Research background
Dr. Foong Swee Yeok is a senior lecturer at the School of Biological Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has involved in mangrove ecological studies since 1996. Her work focuses on nutrient fluxes, carbon sequestration, ecosystem services of the mangrove and other coastal and built ecosystem. She also applies palynology techniques to study the abundance, variety and transportation of pollen, spore and phytolith in the tropics.
