Research background

Dr. Chee Su Yin is a senior lecturer and researcher specializing in ecological engineering, coastal and marine ecology, and sustainability. With a PhD in Mangrove Ecology, she has extensive experience in coastal ecosystem conservation, land use change, and nature-based solutions. She has held research positions in Korea, Germany, and Japan, contributing to global understanding of coastal environments. Her publications cover blue carbon, coastal reclamation, and eco-engineering. She holds patents, copyrights, and industrial designs related to eco-friendly coastal solutions and has received awards for her innovative contributions to sustainable development and marine conservation. Committed to sustainable development, she actively promotes eco-friendly coastal management practices and shares insights through media and policy engagement to support biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.
