Research background

My research focuses on vector biology and behaviour, particularly mosquitoes and other non-biting flies such as houseflies and blowflies. This research involves the use of integrated pest management (IPM) to achieve effective vector control. Since 2017, I have expanded into black soldier fly (BSF) research, focusing on rearing systems, animal feed production, and their role in organic waste bioconversion. Additionally, my research investigates the impact of pesticides on BSF and explores their broader ecological functions. This integrated approach addresses practical applications in waste management and sustainable feed production while contributing to a deeper understanding of BSF ecology and the influence of environmental factors on their development.

Research focus
Integrated pest management, Insect ecology and behavior, Insect-based bioconversion
