Research background

My research focuses on Aedes mosquitoes, which are key vectors of diseases like dengue and chikungunya. I explore the potential of plant-based bioinsecticides as safer, more environmentally friendly alternatives to chemical insecticides. Additionally, I study flies and cockroaches in association with their ecto- and endo-parasites, examining how these interactions may contribute to disease transmission. A small part of my research also investigates Aedes resistance to insecticides, exploring its impact on vector control efforts. Ultimately, my work aims to support sustainable strategies to reduce the impact of vector-borne diseases on public health.
