Research background

Dr. Rosnida Tajuddin’s research focuses on the diversity and distribution of macrofungi in Malaysia’s rainforests, contributing to our understanding of fungal ecology in tropical ecosystems. Her work explores nutrient transport processes in mycorrhizal symbioses, emphasizing their role in plant health and soil fertility. She also investigates mycoheterotrophic plant-mycorrhizal interactions, offering insights into non-photosynthetic plant strategies. Driven by a passion for applied mycology, Dr. Rosnida is engaged in cultivating edible and medicinal fungi. Her broader mission includes promoting fungal conservation and raising awareness about fungi’s critical roles in forest ecosystems and sustainable biodiversity management.

Research focus
