Research background

My research centres on the diversity, genetics, pathogenicity, and toxigenicity of plant pathogenic fungi, with a strong focus on the genus Fusarium. I have also investigated major crop diseases affecting banana, durian, rubber, rice, and mango. Beyond plant pathology, my work includes studies on tropical fungal diversity, indoor fungal contamination, and the biological processes involved in agarwood production.
