Research background

My research focuses on the application of plant tissue culture technology to propagate plant stocks from selected plant species for agriculture purposes. My team pioneered the establishment of in vitro cultures for different fig cultivars and various Citrus species (Meyer Lemon and Australian Caviar Lime), for the production of high-quality plant stocks suitable for commercial farming. In parallel, my research on tropical medicinal plants such as Clinacanthus nutans and Clitoria ternatea utilizes the cell suspension culture system to investigate novel secondary metabolites with therapeutic potential.

Research focus

Figs, citrus, tropical medicinal plants
