Research background

My research centers on microbiology and natural products, with particular emphasis on antibiotics, enzymology, drug delivery systems, and animal feed applications. I investigate plant-derived bioactive compounds as alternative antimicrobial agents against multidrug-resistant pathogens, with a focus on their mechanisms of action, particularly microbial membrane disruption and biofilm regulation. In parallel, my enzymology research focuses on hemicellulases and their application as feed enzymes to hydrolyze hemicellulosic components in plant-based diets, thereby enhancing nutrient digestibility, improving gut health and feed efficiency, and reducing environmental waste from livestock production.
