Research background

My research interest focuses in the systematics, biodiversity and conservation of the orchids in Peninsular Malaysia. Presently, I am actively involves in the diversity assessment of limestone orchids in the karst habitat in the northern part of Peninsular Malaysia. By engaging research institutes, government authorities and local communities, I embark on the conservation initiatives to protect the endemic limestone orchid species in their natural habitat. I have authored and co-authored numerous scientific articles and has also edited several scientific books.
