HONOURING 25 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE: 3 PPSKH STAFF RECEIVE THE 2026 ANUGERAH SANJUNGAN BUDI

PENANG, 19 June 2026 – The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), proudly congratulates three of its distinguished staff members who have been honoured with the Anugerah Sanjungan Budi 2026 (Long Service Award) in recognition of their 25 years of dedicated service to the university.

The award serves as a prestigious recognition of the recipients’ unwavering commitment, professionalism and valuable contributions towards the growth and excellence of USM throughout their years of service.

The PPSKH recipients of the Anugerah Sanjungan Budi 2026 are:

• Professor Dr. K Sudesh Kumar A/L C Kanapathi Pillai, Distinguished Professor (VK6)
• Professor Dr. Wan Maznah Binti Wan Omar, Distinguished Professor (VK7)
• Mr. Muhammad Noor Hisham Bin Halim, Assistant Science Officer (C5)

Over the past 25 years, the recipients have played significant roles in advancing the SBS’s academic, research, administrative and service missions. Their dedication and commitment have contributed meaningfully to the development of SBS and USM as a whole.
