Research focuses on the assembly process of dengue virus. The interest is in the macromolecular interactions involve in virus assembly process, such as, protein/protein, protein/nucleic acid and nucleic acid/nucleic acid interactions. Another interest is genetic engineering-manipulation of DNA and production of recombinant protein. This also includes genetic modifications of microorganism, such as recombinant virus.
  • Construction of dengue virus cDNA clone
  • Molecular interaction involves in nucleocapsid formation of dengue virus
  • Dengue virus replication process with focus on RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) and RNA helicase
  • Production of recombinant biopharmaceutical – human growth hormone
