Application of molecular biotechnology to breeding and management of sea bass, (Lates calcarifier). Utilization of molecular marker towards sustainable management of wild and cultured sea bass using microsatellite DNA. Development of DNA markers for specific typing of jackfruit - Nangka Madu (Artocarpus heterophyllus) cultivars. Collection of jackfruit germplasm and utilising DNA fingerprinting methods in differentiating these cultivars. Development of micropropagation technique for the Malay Peninsula Cryptocoryne species - an endangered plant genus widely exploited in international aquarium trade. Utilising micropropagation as a means of conserving Cryptocoryne and microsatellite DNA analysis for population structure studies.
