The laboratory offers consultation on the utilisation of numerous molecular techniques i.e. microsatellite DNA, DNA sequencing, AFLP, RAPD and ISSR for species identifycation, systematics, ecology and conservation studies. We apply these DNA markers namely on plants and fish.

Over the years, members of the laboratory have provided hands-on training and perform workshops on a number of molecular techniques for the above mentioned studies for researchers from public universities, research institutes and secondary school students.
