Fusarium Identification and Culture Collection

Fusarium Culture Collection Unit has been established in 1981. To date, more than 6000 Fusarium accessions, mostly associated with plant disease in the tropics, have been isolated and classified into more than 35 species. The unit serves Malaysia and other ASEAN countries in:
• Isolation, identification, preservation and pathogenicity test
• Providing life Fusarium cultures for teaching and research
• Cataloguing stock Fusarium cultures
• Extraction and identification of mycotoxins implicated in food and feed poisonings
• Providing professional advice and demonstration on sustainable disease control of economically important crop.
