Aquaculture Research Group of Laboratories

The group offers consultancy work in:
a. Aquaculture:
• Canvas Tank culture for catfish (Clarias spp.) and tilapia (Oreochromis spp.):
• Setup and Aquaculture Management
• Ornamental Fish Culture Setup
• Hormonal induced breeding of catfish (Clarias spp.)

b. Feed Development
• Farm-made Feeds

c. Analysis
• Proximate analysis of feed ingredients and feeds
• Amino acid analysis
• Fatty acid analysis
• Molecular biology application – genetics, diagnosis

The group also conducts workshops on freshwater fish aquaculture annually and on request.
